Man Utd ready to sign ‘outstanding’ £190,000-a-week star by meeting demands – Report

Rice and Sancho for England

Manchester United have been linked with England international Jadon Sancho for quite some and the latest reports going on in the media are interesting.

According to Mirror Sport, Man Utd are ready to meet the demands of Borussia Dortmund to sign their star winger.

The British source have mentioned that the 19-year-old will have a price tag of at least £100million but the Red Devils will not be put off by the massive fee.

Sancho moved to Dortmund from Manchester City last year and since then, he has been a star in the German Bundesliga.

Last season, the teenager featured in 43 games under Lucien Favre and directly contributed in 32 goals (13 goals and 19 assists). In the summer, he deservedly got a bumper pay rise and now, he earns around £190,000-a-week (The Mail).

As far as the current campaign is concerned, so far, in 8 league outings, he has netted 3 goals and provided no fewer than 6 assists. For the Three Lions, so far, he has netted 2 goals (brace vs Kosovo last month) in 10 appearances.

Sancho has earned high praise for his top performances. Last month, Borussia Dortmund star Mats Hummels heavily praised the youngster and claimed (Sport Bild):

“I could imagine him in just about any team in the world. Although he’s not mature yet, Jadon is already an outstanding footballer. His one-on-one, the pace. He loves to prepare goals. He is an absolute weapon that even has potential for improvement.”

United lack depth in their wide attacking positions and it must be remembered that they have not replaced Alexis Sanchez as yet. Sancho can effectively play on either flank and he would be a quality addition if the Old Trafford club can secure his signing.

We shall see how the transfer saga unfolds in the coming months.

  1. if the report is true, its a good signing, but my worry is the price tag which is very massive for a lad of that age.England or no England, there are much more cheaper options in the world to sign.Relatively unknown players striving for recognition and eager to prove a point are many out there ,and cheap.
