Manchester United have been heavily linked with Jadon Sancho in the past few months but reports suggest that they do have a Plan B as well.
According to Tutto Sport, Man Utd are ready to submit a bid to sign Federico Bernardeschi if they fail to lure Sancho from Dortmund.
Transfer: Solskjaer will press to agree priority signing of £80million playmaker for Man Utd
The renowned Italian outlet have mentioned that the Italian international is not untouchable and could be sold for a fee of 35 million euros (£31million).
The 26-year-old is mainly a left winger but this season, he has mostly played in the central attacking midfield role. In all competitions, he has so far featured in 24 games under Sarri, scored just one goal and provided just one assist.
Juventus have ample quality and depth in their attacking third and in such a scenario, the Italian international has often found himself warming the bench.
Before the suspension of the campaign, he only started 9 times in the Serie A and therefore, he needs to leave the Bianconeri for regular first team football
The playmaker made his debut for the senior national side back in 2016 and thus far, he has scored 4 goals in 26 appearances for the Azzurri.
Bernardeschi had an impressive time with Fiorentina but his career has kind of stalled in Turin with The Old Lady.
In all fairness, Sancho is the better option because the England international has regularly started for BvB in the past two seasons and performed brilliantly as well.
Last term, he directly contributed in over 30 goals and in the current campaign, that number has already reached 40 in as many appearances. So, he would likely cost a lot.
In your view, should United look to save money in the current circumstances and spend £31million to sign Federico Bernardeschi?
