Manchester United are linked with numerous shot stoppers and once again, the name of Jordan Pickford is in the focus.
Back in January, the Red Devils were willing to double the England international’s salary to sign him from Everton.
Transfer: Man Utd advance, finalize bid to sign £64.2m star – Deal can be sealed this month
However, in February, he ended up signing a new deal worth £150,000 a week with the Toffees that will expire in 2027.
Now, according to an exclusive report covered by The Sun, Man Utd are ready to submit an offer to finally sign Pickford.
The news source have mentioned that the Merseysiders may allow their prized asset to leave in the summer for a fee of £30million.
A similar story has been published by talkSPORT as well. They also report the 20-time English champions are preparing a move for the Three Lions star even if De Gea ends up staying at Old Trafford.
Pickford has arguably been Everton’s best player. The Toffees have struggled big time in the last two years and in the recently concluded campaign, they survived relegation on the final day of the season.
The 29-year-old goal keeper let in 57 goals in 37 league appearances and managed to keep 8 clean sheets in a poor side.
He has been brilliant for England and has maintained the No.1 spot under the guidance of Gareth Southgate.
Pickford was a key member of the World Cup squads in 2018 and 2022 and also proved to be brilliant in the European Championships two years ago.
In your view, is he better than De Gea? Should Man Utd offer £30million to finally sign him?
