Man Utd receive boost in signing £110,000-a-week star — Report

Willian Chelsea

Manchester United have received a timely boost in signing Willian from Chelsea this summer. The Brazil international has been tipped for a reunion with Jose Mourinho during the ongoing transfer window and the move could materialise, considering the managerial situation at Stamford Bridge.

The west London outfit have failed to pursue a new head coach since the close of the previous campaign and this has witnessed Antonio Conte remain at the helm heading into pre-season despite him not being a favourite among the hierarchy.

According to The Manchester Evening News, the 29-year-old is weighing up his future with the FA Cup holders and the club’s decision to stick with Conte is only expected to speed up his exit from the Blues.

Willian covered up Antonio Conte with trophy emojis in a FA Cup celebration picture posted on Instagram in May and reports have since claimed that the Brazilian does not want to work with Conte any longer.

United boss Mourinho has been keen on recruiting a new right-sided winger before the transfer deadline and it appears that Willian would certainly emerge as the prime option, should the Blues agree to sanction his sale.

Mourinho’s side are yet to lodge a formal approach for the Brazilian footballer but a fee of around £60m could be the benchmark value to lure the £110,000-a-week forward from the Blues this summer, as per The Sun.
