Manchester United are closely following Jadon Sancho and the latest reports suggest that the England international might end up moving to Old Trafford.
However, in my view, the Red Devils need to sign a prolific forward way more than they need to lure a top right winger. Therefore, Man Utd should prioritize the signing of Harry Kane and not Sancho. If we are able to lure the Three Lions captain then a bet on Premier League title would make sense for next season.
As far as the attacking midfield is concerned, the Old Trafford outfit have top quality players in every position.
On the left wing, we have a proven quality star in the form of Marcus Rashford, who has consistently performed well under Solskjaer. The No.10 role in the offense is occupied by Bruno Fernandes.
For the second season running, the Portuguese international has won the Matt Busby Player of the Year award with Man Utd and without doubt, he is irreplaceable in the squad.
As far as the right wing is concerned, 19-year-old Mason Greenwood has proved that he is ready to regularly start on the right flank. In the last 6 Premier League starts, the teenage sensation directly contributed in 7 goals (6 goals and 1 assist) to help the Red Devils earn second spot. Signing Sancho will make the youngster a bench warmer and stop his progress which would not be the ideal solution.
In our strike-force Cavani is a world class striker but the veteran star is past his best and will not serve the club in the long run. Anthony Martial spent a lot of time on the treatment table last term and he is not an out and out center forward.
It must be remembered that the last time a Man Utd striker won the PL Golden Boot was way back in 2012-13. It was also the last time an Old Trafford star managed to score more than 20 league goals and it was the last time we won the Premier League title. Robin van Persie was the superstar center forward.
Kane won the PL Golden Boot last season (third in the career) and also provided the most assists as well. He won the Golden Boot at the 2018 World Cup and was the leading goal scorer in the Euro 2020 qualification campaign. The Tottenham star, who wants to leave, is at the peak of his game and his signing can seriously help us challenge Man City for the title.
In your view, should Man Utd prioritize the signing of Harry Kane over Sancho?
