Man Utd could sign £365,000-a-week superstar in a deal involving 29-goals striker

Spanish Giants Real Madrid are reportedly prepared to offer Cristiano Ronaldo plus cash in an attempt to lure Romelu Lukaku from Manchester United this summer.

The Belgium international had been a consistent goalscorer for club and country over the years and he had a good debut season with United last term with 29 goals across all competitions.

As such, Diario Gol claim that Los Blancos may seek to lure Lukaku to the Bernabeu this summer and they are willing to offer United favourite Ronaldo as a makeweight in a player-plus-cash deal.

A number of surprising reports have generated from Spain since the close of the season but Diario Gol have definitely lost the plot to associate Lukaku with a potential exit from Old Trafford.

Throughout the previous campaign, the Belgian was a regular upfront and United boss Jose Mourinho even went on to support him during an indifferent phase by citing that his position is ‘untouchable’.

As such, Lukaku won’t go anywhere regardless of the price on the table but the fans would surely love the prospect of Ronaldo back at Old Trafford, provided he is available for a reasonable sum.

The £365k-per-week superstar has managed to maintain his performance levels even at the age of 33 but it would not be a worthwhile option to spend a potential club-record fee for the forward, who may regress drastically in the coming years.
