Manchester United have been backed to sign a proven quality and experienced star, someone who can immediately make an impact.

Old Trafford legend, Dwight Yorke, has tipped the Red Devils to sign South Korean superstar, Heung-min Son.

The 52-year-old stated (via Goal):

“They need to buy players like Son – players who can make a difference to your team. Sometimes signing older players works and sometimes it doesn’t.”

“Sir Alex knew what he was doing by bringing in Van Persie as he had so much experience in football. Van Persie wasn’t a surprise to anyone as we all knew what he was capable of.”

Son is the captain of the team since the departure of Harry Kane from Tottenham in the summer and he has been in top class form for years.

In the current campaign, so far, the Asian playmaker has netted 12 goals and provided 5 assists in 20 Premier League fixtures.

Spurs boss, Ange Postecoglou, firmly believes Son is a world class player. Praising the former Bayer Leverkusen attacker last month, the manager stated (The Guardian):

“Sonny is elite in every sort of aspect. I’d be very surprised if by the time he’s finished – which is well down the track – he’s not up there as one of the outstanding strikers.”

After 21 games in the league this term, the north Londoners are eight points above Man Utd and have a real chance of earning a place back in the Champions League.

So, it will be fair to say that for now, the £190,000 a week star will not see Old Trafford as an attractive destination. What do you think?
