Kane and Son Spurs

The former Aston Villa striker told talkSPORT:

“If they had a Harry Kane in that side, I think they would probably be joint at the top of the table now.”

“£70million-£80m-£90m, whatever he costs Harry Kane, go and get him. Put him in that side instead of Weghorst, and Manchester United for me have got a complete side.”

The 29-year-old’s current contract with Spurs will expire next year and the north Londoners would ask for a fee of minimum £85million next summer (The Mail).

The England captain is without doubt one of the best strikers in the world and he needs to leave Tottenham to win a majority trophy at club level.

So far, the Three Lions superstar has only won individual awards. He has won the Premier League Golden Boot award on three occasions.

In the current campaign, he has scored 18 goals in the league so far but is far behind top scorer, Erling Haaland. The Norwegian forward has already netted 27 goals and is set to break the record for most goals scored in a PL campaign.

Since the title winning 2012-13 season, not even a single Manchester United player has managed to score over 20 goals in a league campaign. This needs to change if Ten Hag’s men are to challenge for the title next term.

Kane will turn 30 in July. Should Man Utd spend £85million to sign him?
