Manchester United continue to be linked with central defenders and once again, the name of Nikola Milenkovic is in the focus.
The Serbian international was wanted at Old Trafford even when Jose Mourinho was in charge of the club but his exit changed the situation (ESPN).
Transfer: Man Utd ready to move to finally sign £165,000-a-week star – Report
Last month, The Sun revealed that Ole wants a new center half to partner Maguire and the Red Devils are ready to step up to lure the Serie A star. The British outlet talked about a valuation of £38million.
However, as per the latest reports going on in the media, the Red Devils can secure his signing for a reduced fee this summer.
According to Corriere dello Sport (press image provided below), Man Utd are interested in signing Milenkovic but thus far, they have not submitted any concrete offer to hire his services.
Milenkovic will be out of contract next year and is not willing to agree a new deal. In such a scenario, the Italian source have claimed that the Viola want to sell him and a maximum offer of 35 million euros (£30million) would be enough to get his signing done.
As far as the competition is concerned, the likes of Juventus, AC Milan, Real Madrid and Borussia Dortmund are also looking to secure the signature of the former Partizan center back.
In all fairness, the 28-capped international was out of form in the recently concluded campaign and Fiorentina would have been relegated if not for their star striker Dusan Vlahovic, who netted 45% of the team’s goals in the Serie A.
In your view, is Nikola Milenkovic good enough to strengthen the back line at Old Trafford? Should Man Utd offer £30million to get his signing done?
Man.Utd should stop fooling people around with the transfers and not to keep thinking that they have to keep chopping and changing the players that they targeted as they like for in the first place, as this is how they always miss the bus. Get on with it and get Jadon Sancho as he is a friend of Rashford and since they all have that pattern of playing as pairs together as in the England Squad and of Erling Halland as well with Jadon Sancho in their respective club together. So there will be more that you can expect from them than others who have never played together. I am sure the pair would be happy to reunite at a another club together as well. If Harry Kane is not reachable, this is the best pair to bring in. You will see Man.Utd come out in flying colours. They have to spend big and not simply say we want to win trophies by saying we will manage with Cavani alone etc. All these things we heard before and so it becomes like that they only depend on Cavani. He needs someone along with him to help him make more happen.
