The famous Portuguese outlet have mentioned that the Lions want to keep their prized asset in the summer so that they can utilize him in the Champions League next season.

Therefore, it is mentioned that the only way they will sell their prized asset in the next transfer window is if the suitors activate the clause of 60 million euros i.e. £52.6million.

Man Utd have good relations with Sporting CP having secured the signing of Bruno Fernandes from the Liga Nos side in January 2020.

Pedro Gonvcalvez is naturally a right winger but he can effectively play in the No. 10 role as well. In the current campaign, so far, he has directly contributed in 17 goals in just 18 starts (all competitions).

He is currently the leading goal scorer in the Primeira Liga with 14 goals. Second best is Sergio Oliveira, who has only netted 8 goals for Porto.

Thanks to Pote’s top performances, Sporting CP are currently on top of the table, they have a five point lead over reigning champions Porto and have a game in hand as well.

In your opinion, should Man Utd spend £52.6million to secure his signing in the summer transfer window?

  1. I say grab him with both hands. He appears to be better than Jadon Sancho and far more economical cost-wise. He should settle quite well with Bruno Fernandes and Fred who both speak Portuguese. Anyway many of the younger set in Portugal are proficient in English. Also, at the moment Sancho is not playing well ans from what I’ve seen of him in the England team I have been left quite underwhelmed. Go for Pote, please.
