He has already reached the 20 goal mark in the Italian Serie A and has been one of the star players for Inzaghi in the UEFA Champions League.
Martinez scored a goal and provided an assist against Barcelona at the Nou Camp in the group stages.
He directly contributed in 2 goals in the last eight vs Benfica and scored the winning goal of the second semi final leg against rivals, AC Milan.
The Nerazzurri will collide against English champions, Manchester City, in the final of the Champions League in Istanbul next month.
