The news source have mentioned that Man Utd’s priority is to lure Harry Kane from Tottenham Hotspur.
However, if they fail in their pursuit to hire the England international then the 20-time English champions could make an offer to sign Martinez from the Nerazzurri.
The 25-year-old star is a proven quality goal scorer, who has won every major domestic title in Italy with Inter Milan.
Moreover, he was a key member of the La Albiceleste squad that won the Copa America, Finalissima and the FIFA World Cup under the guidance of Lionel Scaloni.
In the current campaign, the South American forward has so far netted 17 goals in the league and only Victor Osimhen is ahead of him in the Serie A.
In all competitions, Martinez has netted 21 goals and provided 8 assists thus far. He netted a brace in the last league win over Lazio.
The former Racing Club striker is expected to start tonight when Internazionale will collide against Hellas Verona away from home.
Kane is PL proven but he will turn 30 in July. On the other hand, Lautaro Martinez will turn 26 in August. In your view, who should Ten Hag sign to reinforce the frontline at Old Trafford?
