Journalist – Man United told £77.5million would get signing done – Face competition

Coman and Giroud France

Manchester United have today confirmed that they have reached an agreement in principle to hire the services of Jadon Sancho from German side Borussia Dortmund.

However, as per reports, he is not the only Bundesliga winger on the radar at Old Trafford. The Red Devils have been linked with Kinglsey Coman as well.

Transfer: Man Utd expected to secure £65million terms to seal signing – Report

Christian Falk, who works as a Head of Football for renowned German media outlet Bild, has claimed that it would take a mammoth fee of 90 million euros (£77.5million) for Man Utd to hire the services of the French international from Bayern Munich.

The journalist has reported that even United’s arch-rivals, Liverpool, are interested in luring the Les Bleus playmaker, who believes that a transfer away from the Bavarians is unrealistic as far this summer is concerned.

Last season, the 25-year-old star, who can effectively play on either flank, scored 5 goals and provided 12 assists in Bayern’s title winning campaign. He is one of the most decorated players around and has won league titles in the last 10 seasons in three different countries.

Moreover, in the 2019-20, he was a key player for Hansi Flick in Bayern’s treble-winning season. The ex Bianconeri star scored the winning goal in the CL final vs PSG. The 32-capped international was part of the French squad that was recently knocked out of the Euro 2020 in the Round of 16 by Switzerland.

Coman is a top quality winger but after agreeing a big money move for Sancho, Man Utd really do not need to spend massively to lure another winger. We already have Rashford for the left wing and Sancho for the right.

On the other hand, in the back-up, Ole has more than decent options such as the likes of Greenwood, Martial and James. Therefore, in all fairness, it would be a huge shock if Man Utd opt to spend £77.5million to sign Coman this summer? What do you think?

  1. Please DO NOT sign Coma, ever. I watched him against Switzerland – he did nothing for his team, wandered aimlessly around on the wing, pretended to be badly injured, then argue with his medics and refused to leave the field.
    A major disruptor.
