The final week of the transfer window is upon us and Man Utd fans have an exciting time ahead of them. Despite already having signed four players this transfer window, there could be one more arrival left and also a few departures.
One player that Man Utd have been linked with since the start of the transfer window is Manuel Ugarte of PSG. The 23-year-old Uruguayan has struggled for game time under Luis Enrique and has been placed on the exit ramp at the Ligue 1 club.

As per Corriere dello Sport, PSG midfielder Manuel Ugarte to Man Utd is ‘imminent’ as Scott McTominay is ‘close’ to a transfer to Napoli. The Red Devils academy product looks to have played his last game for the club.
Antonio Conte at Napoli is keen to sign McTominay. His other midfield target Billy Gilmour started for Brighton yesterday and it looks like Fabian Hurzeler has managed to convince the youngster to stay at the Amex.
Should McTominay leave, it would give Man Utd the space to sign Ugarte. The truth is, as much as Erik ten Hag would miss the impact the Scottish international has off the bench, he needs the 23-year-old Uruguayan more.
Ugarte will help provide cover for Casemiro and be the succession plan for the Brazilian in the future. The talented midfielder can perfectly suit Erik ten Hag’s system although he might get lesser minutes than he expects in his first season at the club.
The next few days could give us a clearer picture of whether these two transfers go through. It’ll be a good piece of business from Man Utd and let’s see how long it takes before Ugarte is officially announced as a Red Devils player.
I feel that along with Ugarte Man.Utd. also need to sign a LB. Dalot can play there but he is a makeshift LB and with Shaw injury prone, we need a specialist left footer in there.
