Manchester United have already let in 40 goals in the Premier League this season and need to reinforce the backline in the summer.
As per a story covered by Corriere dello Sport today (news image provided below) Kim Min-Jae is “very close” to securing a move to Old Trafford.

The Rome based media outlet have mentioned that the Asian star will travel to Korea at the end of the campaign and after returning, he could immediately leave the club.
CdS claim United are ready to release him through the release clause, by paying over 60 million euros cash (£53.2million+).
It is stated that the Red Devils are waiting to complete all the formalities to bring the South Korean international to the club by activating the exit clause.
Min-Jae has been rock solid for the Naples based side in their Scudetto winning campaign. He has the height, power and the speed to become a hit in the Premier League.
The 26-year-old is not the only Napoli player on United’s radar. The Italian news source report the 20-time English champions are also intent on signing Victor Osimhen.
The Nigerian striker, who has 27 goals in all competitions, could cost well over 100 million euros. CdS claim the price tag might even reach 180 million euros.
Apart from Man Utd, the likes of Chelsea, Paris Saint-Germain, Bayern Munich and Newcastle are also after the star center forward.
Have your say – Who should Erik ten Hag sign to reinforce the squad at Old Trafford for the next season?

We need to prepare for next season assuming the worst case scenario – that the parasitical Glazers may still be around, so by all means test the water with Kane etc, but at the prices being quoted, forget Osimhen unless he bangs in a transfer request and specifically asks to come to United.
We need to affect the spine whilst strengthening depth, with sales generating some funds (14 out, 11 in). Only a DM and a CF would I be splashing out on. Could be done for £200m, but the value would be massive.
• (CB) Kim Min Jae/1 or Axel Disasi/2 or Armel Bella-Kotchap/3 plus Goncalo Inacio & (RB) Hakimi/1 or Frimpong/2 definitely worth being far more proactive and aggressive for and let Maguire, Jones, Bailly, Williams & Telles go about their business away from the club and give Axel Tuanzebe one more season – 3 in 5 out – net cost £60m);
• James Maddison plus Marcel Sabitzer;
• Joao Palhinha/2 or Romeo Lavia/3 (if no budget for Moises Caicedo/1 for Fred, perhaps more patience until Christmas with McTominay & van de Beek – 3 in 3 out – net cost £65);
• Livakovic plus Bazunu/2 or Mamardashvili/1 (for Heaton, Henderson & an extended De Gea – I’d keep Jack Butland – 3 in, 3 out – net cost £20m); and
• Rasmus Hojlund plus Randal Kolo Muani/1 (or Dusan Vlahovic/2, Benjamin Sesko/4, Ivan Toney/3, Santiago Giminez/5) for Weghorst & possibly Sancho & Martial – Elanga out on loan, bring Amad Diallo back – 2 in 3 out – net cost £40m, without factoring in a buy-back clause for Mason Greenwood).
• 1st options
Livakovic, Mamardashvili, Butland, Hakimi, Kim Min Jae, Inacio, Caicedo, Maddison, Sabitzer, Kolo Muani, Hojlund.
