Therefore, a cheaper alternative would be Mason Mount, who has proven himself in the Premier League over the years.
The media outlet have mentioned that the England international is going to cost around £50million. Currently, the versatile playmaker earns £75k weekly and he has an extension offer of £180k-a-week on the table.
Man United improved their central midfield in the last summer transfer window by hiring the services of Casemiro and Eriksen.
As far as the CAM position is concerned, Bruno Fernandes is the irreplaceable star and Van de Beek is there in the backup.
Mount can effectively play in the central midfield, wide attacking positions but mainly, he has excelled for the Blues in the No. 10 role behind the striker.
Last season, the Three Lions star directly contributed in 29 goals in all competitions under the guidance of Thomas Tuchel.
Not to forget, he set up the goal that won Chelsea the UEFA Champions League final against Man City two years ago.
In your view, should Man Utd bid £50million to sign Mason Mount in summer.
