Tomorrow, Man Utd will break-in with £60m plus £4.3m offer for signing – Journalist

The Rasmus Hojlund to Manchester United transfer saga appears to be at its business end.

In recent days suggestions of Paris Saint-Germain’s bid for Hojlund – amid Kylian Mbappe’s uncertain future – have created a little panic within the United fanbase, on social media at least.

However, as per Alfredo Pedulla, the French giants have not made any formal offer for the Atalanta star and are focused on sorting out Marco Verratti and Mbappe’s futures. Instead, it is the English side who are set to make an official offer for the 20-year-old by Saturday.

The Italian journalist says the Bergamo-based outfit are expecting United to make an official offer of around 70 million euros (£60m) plus 5 million euros (£4.3m) in bonuses.

The Red Devils have already agreed personal terms with the Denmark international, who has only one club in mind despite interest from elsewhere. As such, it’s now a question of moving on to “the operational phase.”

The friendly defeat against Real Madrid in Texas yet again highlighted the need for a decisive finisher in Erik ten Hag’s squad and should, in all likelihood, push the club’s hierarchy to step up their efforts to bring Hojlund to the Theatre of Dreams.

While still a raw talent with less than 100 senior appearances to his name, the pacy forward enjoyed a prolific maiden campaign in Italy (a league goal involvement every 141 minutes) and should be an upgrade on any striker currently at Ten Hag’s disposal. He has also bagged six goals in as many appearances for his country.

As things stand, the Dane is set to feature in Atalanta’s friendly against Bournemouth on Saturday, but things could swiftly change in these ‘decisive’ hours.
