Manchester United were not able to sign a proven quality right winger last summer and they should lure one in the next transfer window.
The Red Devils were heavily linked with Ousmane Demebele but the £215,000-a-week star (The Sun) opted to stay with Barcelona. Now, the French international is once again in the focus.
As per a recent report covered by Spanish outlet Fichajes, Man Utd will make an offer to finally sign the Les Bleus star in the summer transfer window.
It is stated that the main objective of the Old Trafford club is to sign Raphael Varane from Real Madrid but Ole Gunnar Solskjaer needs to improve the attack as well.
Dembele will be out of contract in the summer of 2022 and since he has not signed an extension as yet, Barcelona have slapped a price tag of 50 million euros (£43million) on him.
The 23-year-old was brilliant for Borussia Dortmund in the 2016-17 campaign before moving to the Nou Camp to replace Neymar. He was even part of the national team squad that won the World Cup in Russia in 2018.
However, for the Catalan giants, the attacker has spent a lot of time on the treatment table. Last season, he was mostly out of the squad due to serious injury concerns.
Fortunately, this season, the former Rennes star has remained fit and so far, in 39 appearances, he has scored 10 goals and provided 4 assists for Barca. Dembele can play on either flank and even as a central attacking midfielder if needed but mainly, he is a right winger.
Lately, Greenwood has been performing brilliantly on the right flank. Do you think he is good enough to regularly start for us or should Man Utd splash £43million to sign Ousmane Dembele?
