The 22-year-old attacking midfielder has been linked with the Old Trafford outfit for quite some time.
Last year, Mundo Deporitvo revealed that United moved in with an offer to lure the Seleccao star but it was rejected by the Rojiblancos.
Moreover, back in June 2022, Correio da Manha reported that Man Utd want to hire the services of Felix, who is also on the radar of other Premier League sides.
Now, Marca claim the United emissaries are in Madrid and over the next few days, the 20-time English champions will move in with an attempt to finally sign the youngster from the Colchoneros.
Ten Hag lacks quality and depth in the attacking third and a versatile playmaker like Felix, who can be deployed in multiple offensive roles, would be a quality addition.
Last season, the former Benfica star featured in 35 games for Atletico, scored 10 goals and provided 6 assists under Diego Simeone.
He has already won the La Liga title with the Colchoneros and was part of the Portugal squad that won the UEFA Nations League in 2019.
Felix’s current deal at the Wanda Metropolitano will expire in 2026 and he earns around £255,000 a week (The Sun). Would Man Utd be able to secure his signing? Only time will tell.
