Manchester United are consistently linked with central defenders with the future of Harry Maguire uncertain at Old Trafford.
The club captain has only started 4 games in the Premier League this term and lately, Ten Hag has even preferred left back, Luke Shaw, ahead of him in the central defense.

The Red Devils have been linked with Inter Milan defender, Milan Skriniar, for some time and the Slovakian is once again in the focus.
Back in October 2022, Inter Live reported that the Old Trafford outfit could bid as early as January to hire the services of the central defender.
More recently, Media Foot have revealed that Man Utd will press to finally sign Skriniar, who is eyeing a move to the Premier League.
The French source have mentioned that a meeting has been scheduled with the representatives of the 27-year-old defender to see whether the 20-time Engliush champions can meet the player’s demands.
Skriniar has been one of the best center backs in the Italian Serie A and he will be out of contract in just 6 months. Currently, he is taking home a salary of around £95,000 a week (FT).
The 54-capped international has played well over 200 games for the Nerazzurri and has won every major domestic title with them.
In all fairness, it will be a massive coup if United can get someone like him on a bosman in the summer.
The question is, should Man Utd for the summer or pay a fee to get his signing done in the current winter transfer window?
