According to Plataforma, the Lions wanted a fee of 70 million euros (60 million euros fixed plus 10 million euros in bonuses) but United’s offer never exceeded the mark of 60 million euros (50 million euros fixed plus 10 million in bonuses).
Goncalo Lopes claims that the deal was close to falling apart but things have changed mainly due to the injury of Marcus Rashford, which has led Man Utd to look at Fernandes again to strengthen their attack.
Now, it has been reported that Man Utd are willing to raise the offer to 55 million euros (plus bonuses) in order to finally close the signing. As per Plataforma, the offer should be enough to get the deal done.
