Barcelona star Frenkie de Jong finds himself in a complex situation at the Nou Camp and reports suggest that he could be offloaded by Xavi Hernandez.
According to El Nacional, Manchester United are position to sign the Dutch international and they are willing to make a strong offer to hire his services.

The Catalan news source have mentioned that the Netherlands star has not been able to shine since moving to the Spanish giants. He has been unfortunate that he joined when the club was in crisis but his form has been consistently average as well.
It is stated that Xavi prefers the likes of Gavi and Nico Gonzalez in the center of the park and has also got Pedri, who was named the Euro 2020 Young Player of the Tournament but has mostly been injured for Barca this term. The club legend does not think that De Jong is essential and could sell him.
The 24-year-old can play in multiple midfield position and he mainly excelled in the DM role for Ajax in the 2018-19 domestic double winning campaign in which the Eredivisie side also reached the semi finals of the Champions League.
Man Utd desperately need a quality deep lying playmaker cum play breaker to improve things in the center of the park and earlier this month, El Nacional reported that at least 70 million euros (£60million) would be required to sign De Jong.
It must be remembered that we might need to replace record signing Paul Pogba, whose contract is due to expire in just over 6 months.
Have your say – Should Man Utd offer £60million to sign Frenkie de Jong from Barca in January?
