Manchester United have been linked with Slovenian international and RB Salzburg forward, Benjamin Sesko, and the latest reports are positive for the Red Devils.
As per today’s version of Sport (news image provided below), the 19-year-old striker is wanted by Real Madrid and Chelsea but the Old Trafford club have taken advantage in the race by contacting the player’s representative.
Transfer: Chelsea ready to agree deal with £482,000-a-week star, prepared to blow United out of water
The 20-time English champions met with his agent, Elivs Basanovic, to try to get ahead of the rivals and secure the signing of the forward.
It is reported that Salzburg are asking for a fee of 50 million euros (£41.8million) and Man Utd are willing to pay the amount to get the deal done.
The Catalan media outlet have mentioned that Madrid wanted Jesus but he chose to join Arsenal. On the other hand, they want Werner but he prefers to move back to RB Leipzig.
Now, Sesko is on their radar, however, the Red Devils have the edge to hire his services.
In the last campaign, the teenage sensation directly contributed in 17 goals in all competitions. Moreover, this term, so far, he has directly contributed in 3 goals in as many appearances.
Man Utd will collide against Brighton in the opening Premier League contest and their main striker, Ronaldo, only played a single game in the pre-season.
The Portuguese international’s future at Old Trafford is still uncertain and it must be remembered that United have already lost Cavani this summer.
So, the strike force must be reinforced but do you think Benjamin Sesko is good enough to be a hit in the Premier League?
I don’t think for both him and United is about being a hit especially coming in this season in a team still trying to master their manager’s philosophy and individual roles. However, it is bery pleasing knowing we’re finally bringing in a forward for the future.. an advantage for EtH and United since he knows how to develop players and a talent of Sesko’s calibre is one to look for in the next seasons to come. Now he only has to fit in catch up with everything new we’re all still getting used to and then see if he can deliver or flop
That guy is good and still have the potential to be a world class striker on or before 23 years old
