Manchester United must sign quality players to share the goalscoring burden from Marcus Rashford next season and they are linked with Federico Chiesa.
According to a story published by Tutto Sport at the weekend, Man Utd are willing to bring Chiesa to the Premier League from Juventus.
Transfer: Deal almost certain – Man Utd prepared to agree £49.5million signing
The famous Italian news source have mentioned that the likes of Liverpool and Newcastle United are also interested in signing the Azzurri playmaker.
His current deal with the Bianconeri will expire in 2025 and as per reports (GdS via Paisley Gates), he is valued at around 45 million euros (£38million).
The 25-year-old star is a versatile attacker, who can play on either flank, as a secondary striker and even as an out and out striker if needed.
Chiesa scored fifteen goals and provided eleven assists in all competitions in the 2020-21 season in Italy.
More importantly, he won the European Championships with the national side and was named in the Team of the Tournament as the best attacker.
However, since Euro 2020, the 40-capped star has spent majority of his time out injured. The former Fiorentina star only started 11 games in the Serie A last season and this term, he made only 6 starts.
Jadon Sancho and Antony have not lived up to their heavy price tags as yet and the last thing Erik ten Hag needs is an injury prone attacker.
Therefore, in my view, Man Utd should not move to lure £38million-rated Federico Chiesa. What do you think?
