Manchester United were linked with Sergej Milinkovic-Savic last year and the Serbian international is once again in the focus.
Back in July 2019, the Red Devils were in negotiations to sign the Lazio midfielder, who was valued at around 75 million euros at that time after an average last campaign (La Repubblica).
Transfer: Report – Man Utd could launch move to sign £200,000-a-week star – Face competition
Yesterday, Ill Messggero covered a story and claimed that clubs like Man Utd, Real Madrid and PSG that were hesitant to lure him last summer, would be ready to get serious to sign him this summer.
Lazio are fighting for the Serie A title, they are just a single point behind reigning champions Juventus and Milinkovic-Savic has been brilliant for them this term.
Therefore, the well-known Italian source (Ill Messggero) have claimed that the 25-year-old’s price tag has gone up again and now, club president Claudio Lotito wants 120 million euros (£110million) from the sale of his prized asset. It is further mentioned that if the Biancocelesti do end up winning the Italian league then the player’s valuation would further increase.
The former Genk man is a versatile midfielder, who can effectively play anywhere in the center of the park, even as a defensive or attacking midfielder if needed. Naturally, he is a creative central midfielder, who has the quality and experience to improve Man Utd’s midfield.
Not to forget, the 20-time English champions have not strengthened their central midfield in the past three transfer windows and the department would become even weaker if record signing Paul Pogba ends up leaving Old Trafford.
In the current campaign, so far, Milinkovic-Savic has started 29 games in all competitions for the Rome based club and directly contributed in 12 goals (5 goals and 7 assists). In your view, should Solskjaer splash £110million to finally sign the Serbian?
