Manchester United signed Cavani two years ago, they signed Ronaldo last year and reports are linking them with another veteran forward.

This time around, Robert Lewandowski is in the focus. The Polish international is one of the greatest goal-scorers and his contract with Bayern will expire in 2023.

Transfer: Man Utd offer key role to sign priority £66million midfielder – Report

According to Bild, the famous center forward is surprised that despite his top form, the Bavarians have not approached him in order to extend his stay at the Allianz Arena.

The German news source have mentioned that in case of departure, Man Utd have registered interest and would like to submit initial bid to sign the 33-year-old star.

Last night, the former Dortmund striker scored a hat-trick in the Champions League and reached the 40-goal mark for the seventh successive season.

So far in all competitions this term, Lewandowski, who currently earns around £369,000-a-week (The Sun), has featured in 35 games for the Bundesliga champions, scored 42 goals and also provided 4 assists.

At Old Trafford, no Man Utd player has managed to score 20+ goals in the Premier League since Van Persie did it in the title winning 2012-13 campaign.

Lewandowski surely has the quality to strengthen United but he will turn 34 in August and like Ronaldo and Cavani, the 128-capped international too would not be a long term fix.

In your view, who should Man Utd sign to reinforce the strike-force?
