One issue that has been plaguing Man Utd for quite some time now and is more pronounced this season is the lack of goals from their designated strikers. The Red Devils will need to address this situation by signing a proven number nine.
Now, as revealed by Football Insider, ex-scout Mick Brown has claimed that Man Utd “would love to sign” Newcastle United superstar Alexander Isak. He said:
“Man United would love to sign Isak. He would be an asset to any club in the country. “Thinking about what they need from a striker, he brings all of the tools to the table. He’s pacey, can run in behind, holds the ball up, scores goals on the floor, in the air, one-on-ones, the lot.”
Alexander Isak has been in excellent form so far this season and is maybe the best striker in the Premier League, taking the mantle from Manchester City superstar Erling Haaland at least in recent months. The Swede’s stocks keep growing with every passing week.
Despite Man Utd’s interest in Alexander Isak, Brown mentions that the transfer might not be possible for the club.
Isak is valued at around £150million by the Magpies which maybe the club’s way of saying that he is not available for sale.
15 goals and four assists in 22 games are quite remarkable stats from the Swede and he is young enough to keep improving and take his game to the next level.
