Mino Raiola, agent of Manchester United midfielder Paul Pogba, believes his client will stay at the club so long as they eventually win a Premier League title, reports The Sun.
The Italian super-agent says Pogba is desperate to win domestic silverware at United, having currently only won the League Cup in 2017. With former side Juventus, the Frenchman was a serial-winner, boasting four consecutive Serie A titles and four domestic cups, which is why he’s so desperate for United success.
“If things are not going well, I try to do my job, to find satisfactory solutions for my players and the clubs. At the moment, Paul hasn’t told me anything and I know he won’t move without having won a title. There isn’t as big a war with Mourinho as has been reported, but in the transfer market, you never tell the truth and you can never say never,” said Raiola.
Pogba was signed from Juventus in 2016 and struggled for form in his debut season, although he ended the campaign strongly. This season, there have been reports of a rift between the 24-year-old and manager Jose Mourinho, let alone ongoing rumours of Real Madrid’s interest.
It appears, however, that Pogba is set to stay at United, the club he left in 2012 to join Juventus. The Red Devils have shown no desire to sell and they don’t need the money either given their latest financial forecast, so suitors may be left disappointed if they make an approach for the £200k-per-week star.
