Manchester United angry with this striker; Want him to be punished severely

According to reports from the Irish Independent, Manchester United are angry that Southampton striker Shane Long got off lightly following his nasty challenge on Marouane Fellaini.

Manchester United claimed a hard-fought 1-0 victory over Southampton at the St. Mary’s Stadium on Saturday and while the result would have pleased manager Jose Mourinho, the Red Devils suffered a blow due to the fact that key midfielder Marouane Fellaini picked up an injury during the encounter.

Southampton’s Shane Long was the player who caused Fellaini’s injury by lunging into a tackle on the Belgian international, which left him writhing in agony and as a result of the blow, the towering ex-Everton man will miss United’s Champions League encounter against CSKA Moscow on Wednesday night.

Now according to reports from the Irish Independent, claims have been made that United are angry that Long only received a booking for his nasty challenge on Fellaini and believe that if the roles’ were reversed, the midfielder would have received a far severe punishment.
