According to Diario Gol, Real Madrid are looking to part with striker Karim Benzema, due to his dwindling form this season and grievances over his off-field conduct. TalkSPORT have linked Manchester United and Arsenal.
The 30-year-old, who came to the Santiago Bernabéu from Olympique Lyonnais in 2009, has struggled to find the net during an injury-hit campaign, and his future is up in the air as a result.
Benzema has scored just two La Liga goals in 15 appearances as the defending champions find themselves fourth in the table and 19 points adrift of leaders Barcelona after 21 games.
While not entirely to blame for Zinedine Zidane’s failing this season, Diario Gol believe Benzema’s nocturnal activities have hampered his form. The report states the French international has taken his focus off football.
Real captain Sergio Ramos is believed to have told club president Florentino Perez of this issue, which has led to Real offering Benzema out to the highest bidder in the summer.
The Red Devils have Zlatan Ibrahimovic, Romelu Lukaku and Marcus Rashford as natural centre-forwards, while Arsenal have Alexandre Lacazette and Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang up front.
