Manchester United are reportedly considering a move for Paris Saint-Germain winger Lucas Moura with Jose Mourinho keen on reinforce the forward ranks in the summer. The Portuguese tactician had placed his emphasis on signing Inter Milan’s Ivan Perisic, but ultimately the deal never materialised with the Nerazzurri refusing to bow down from their £45m asking price.
According to French publication L’Equipe, Mourinho remains keen on recruiting a new attacker to his ranks and Moura is among the players in contention, although no official offer has been made for his services.
The former Sao Paulo graduate had found himself surplus to requirements at Les Parisiens this term with the likes of Neymar and Kylian Mbappe adding further competition for places. As a result, he has managed just five appearances in the French Ligue 1, all of which have come from the bench.
Moura has been a player regularly linked with a Premier League move, and his association with Manchester United stretches to the summer of 2012 where Sir Alex Ferguson tried to pursue his services, only for him to snub the Red Devils for a move to Parc des Princes.
The Brazilian has not quite lived up to his high expectations since his switch to European football, but he could still prove a top signing for United after having enjoyed his best-ever scoring season (19), whilst playing regularly for Paris Saint-Germain last term.
