According to reports carried out by the Daily Express, Manchester United manager Jose Mourinho is interested in acquiring the services of Chelsea target Federico Chiesa.
Manchester United have brought three new players to Old Trafford this summer in the form of Nemanja Matic, Romelu Lukaku and Victor Lindelof for a combined fee in excess of £150million but despite the splurge, manager Jose Mourinho has revealed that only 75% of his intended transfer dealings have been completed so far.
From Mourinho’s comments, one can imply that he is still in the market to sign another player and many believe that the Portuguese tactician has his eyes set on a move for Inter Milan star Ivan Perisic.
Completing the signing of Perisic has proven to be a difficult task though as Inter are refusing to budge on their whopping £48million asking price for the player and therefore, it looks like United might be forced to look at other targets.
Now in reports from the Daily Express, claims are being made that United are also looking at the possibility of signing Fiorentina attacker Federico Chiesa.
The 19-year-old Chiesa impressed for Fiorentina last season and as a result, he had managed to catch the eye of defending Premier League champions Chelsea.
However, United are also said to have entered the race for the Italian sensation and Mourinho will now be looking to beat his former club to complete the signing of the promising youngster.
