Arsenal star Mesut Ozil will be made available for a cut-price fee of around just £20million in January, according to reports from Calciomercato (via Sky Sports).
Mesut Ozil’s contractual situation at Arsenal has been an open secret for quite a while now and with the German international not yet signing an extension, it is widely believed that the Gunners will look to sell their star playmaker during the January transfer window in order to avoid losing him for free at the end of the season.
A number of clubs are unsurprisingly interested in making a swoop for Ozil and recent reports have claimed that Arsenal’s rivals Manchester United are very interested in signing the 28-year-old, with manager Jose Mourinho very keen on a reunion with his former Real Madrid player.
Now in an update to the chase for Ozil, Calciomercato have gone on to report that Arsenal have already held talks with Manchester United over the signing of Ozil and that the Gunners will allow the ex-Schalke star to join the Red Devils for around just £20million.
Ozil has struggled at times for Arsenal in recent seasons but there is no doubting the fact that he is a top quality player when on form and will surely be a very good signing for United at £20million.
