
Manchester United are on the verge of rewarding manager Jose Mourinho with a bumper five-year £65million contract.
Jose Mourinho took over at Manchester United from the hapless Louis van Gaal at the start of last season and while the Portuguese manager could only help the Red Devils to a lowly 6th place finish in the table, he did guide the Premier League side to victory in the Europa League as well as the EFL Cup.
During the current campaign, Mourinho has certainly shaped United into a team worthy of challenging for the Premier League title and many have been left impressed with their performances so far this season.
The United hierarchy seem to have also been pleased with the manner in which the Red Devils have performed so far and as a result, they are said to be looking to reward Mourinho with a brand new contract.
According to reports carried out by the Daily Express, Mourinho is set to receive a new five year contract worth a whopping £65million (£250,000-per-week) and the prospective new deal would make the 54-year-old the best pain manager in the world alongside his adversary Pep Guardiola.
