Manchester United to compete with Tottenham in the race for talented attacker

According to reports from Spanish outlet Super Deporte, Tottenham Hotspur have joined Manchester United in the race to secure the services of Harvey Neville.

Despite their huge splash to acquire established players in recent times, Manchester United are always on the lookout for burgeoning youngsters as well and it had been claimed by the Daily Mirror recently that the Red Devils were targeting a move for Harvey Neville.

Harvey is the son of former Manchester United star Phil Neville and it was believed that the Premier League giants were plotting to lure the winger away from Valencia, where the youngster is plying his trade.

However United are not the only team interested in signing Harvey Neville and now according to reports from Spanish outlet Super Deporte, even Tottenham Hotspur have joined in the race for the 14-year-old sensation.

Tottenham boss Mauricio Pochettino is well known for his capability of nurturing young talent and transforming them into world class players, and Harvey will surely be tempted by the opportunity to work with the Argentine manager.

United also boast a strong record of giving youngsters a chance in the first team but Tottenham are currently leading the way in such an aspect and the Red Devils will surely have to work very hard in order to convince Harvey to snub the advances of Spurs for a move to Old Trafford.
