According to reports from Spanish outlet El Pais, Cristiano Ronaldo is contemplating a move away from Real Madrid which could pave the way for his return back to Manchester United.
There is always speculation surrounding Cristiano Ronaldo’s future at Real Madrid but this summer, the rumors about his exit from the Santiago Bernabeu seemed to have some weight behind them.
Ronaldo has been embroiled in a tax evasion scandal while the Portuguese has also cried injustice after being handed a five match ban for pushing the referee during the Spanish Super Cup clash against Barcelona last week.
Due to these issues, Ronaldo had even talked about an exit from Spain by stating recently, “I never had a problem in England… that’s why I would like to go back to England.”
Now in sensational reports from Spanish outlet El Pais, claims are being made that Ronaldo is currently contemplating a move away from Madrid before the end of the summer transfer window.
A source allegedly told El Pais, “For now he’s only focused on work. He is angry about the five game ban and, while he is working as always with the team, we cannot guarantee if he stays or goes. We will see what will happen between now and August 31.”
The news means that Manchester United will surely be following the developments very closely over the next few weeks and if indeed Ronaldo does decide to leave Madrid, a sensational return for the 32-year-old to Old Trafford could be on the cards.
