Man United eye shock move for Tottenham’s £62million star who scored in World Cup

According to Sport1, Manchester United could agree a £62m deal with Tottenham Hotspur for Son Heung-Min. The 25-year-old is rumoured to be seeking an exit from White Hart Lane this summer, although Spurs are trying to tie him down to a contract extension.

Heung-Min joined Tottenham from Bayer Leverkusen in 2015 and has gone on to make 140 appearances in all competitions, scoring and creating 73 goals. The South Korean international, who has scored 21 goals in 64 games for his country, was in outstanding form last season, netting 18 times.

His form has led to a lot of interest in his signature, with Liverpool and Arsenal reportedly keen, but it seems more likely he will commit his future to Spurs. With manager Mauricio Pochettino and striker Harry Kane recently signing new deals with Tottenham, it’s hard to see Heung-Min parting ways ahead of the new season.

United aren’t in desperate need of adding to their attack either, given Jose Mourinho has Marcus Rashford, Jesse Lingard, Alexis Sanchez, Anthony Martial, Juan Mata and Romelu Lukaku at his disposal. The 25-year-old wouldn’t be cheap at £62m either, especially as United have made signing a centre-back a bigger priority.

  1. Definitely this weeks best made up story. It’s so random it’s hilarious. Sadly a lot of football fans are so stupid they might just believe it
