Man United could agree deal with Juventus for £58m star after director meets with player’s agent

According to Premium Sport, Manchester United forward Anthony Martial could be on his way to Juventus after his agent met with the Old Lady’s director.

Martial has scored and created 14 goals in 16 Premier League starts this season, but his place in the first-team hasn’t been guaranteed. The 22-year-old has made 10 appearances in the league from the bench and his contract will be up in less than 18 months.

Juventus are keen on his signature and club director Pavel Nedved has reportedly spoken to Martial’s representative Nelio Lucas. The Sun say Nedved was spotted at a London hotel while Juve and Tottenham were playing each other in the Champions League.

With stiff competition in attack coming from Alexis Sanchez, Jesse Lingard, Marcus Rashford and Juan Mata, Martial may struggle to get into the first-team at times. If Juventus are promising him more playing time, there’s every chance the £58m forward could consider a move.

Manchester United signed Martial from AS Monaco in 2015 but he could be on his way out of Old Trafford this summer or next if his contract isn’t resolved. Juve look on course to win the Serie A title and find themselves in the Champions League quarter-finals this season so they’re an attractive proposition. United could be set for a trophyless campaign by comparison.
