Spurs could sign 62-goals attacker who is ready to defy Man Utd and stay in Premier League

According to The Sun, Manchester United could lose Anthony Martial this summer, but the French international could stay in England and join another Premier League club. Martial joined United from AS Monaco in 2015 and has gone on to make 136 appearances in all competitions, scoring and creating 62 goals.

The 22-year-old lost his place in the starting lineup to Alexis Sanchez last season and has been linked with an exit from Old Trafford ever since. Manager Jose Mourinho is keen to keep Martial unless the player says otherwise, but latest reports suggest he could be considering a Premier League switch.

Chelsea and Tottenham Hotspur are keen on the forward, with the Blues eyeing up a potential replacement for Real Madrid-linked Eden Hazard. Spurs need to strengthen their attack as they aren’t blessed with great depth as Vincent Janssen and Fernando Llorente will be leaving and Lucas Moura has been short of form since his Januarymove.

United don’t want to sell to a Premier League side, however, as Mourinho doesn’t want to strengthen a title rival. But with Martial having 12 months remaining on his contract, the Red Devils may have to cash in on him regardless of whether or not the suitor is in England.
