Manchester United defender Phil Jones missed Saturday’s 2-0 win over Huddersfield Town through illness, revealed his sister. The England international was left out of the matchday squad after nine consecutive league starts as he was reportedly feeling unwell after picking up a bug.
Hope everyone feels better soon; including @PhilJones4 there are lot of bugs going round lately! ???

Manchester Evening News say there were suggestions he was dropped as a result of his performance against Tottenham Hotspur, after scoring an own goal in Wednesday’s 2-0 defeat, but that doesn’t appear to be the case. Paul Pogba and Anthony Martial also lost their place in the starting lineup on the weekend.
The Red Devils picked up all three points even after the changes, which was their fourth win in five, and narrowed the gap to leaders Manchester City to 13 points. Jones has been a regular in the side when fit, making 20 appearances in the top flight this season, so his absence will have taken many by surprise.
Signed from Blackburn Rovers in 2011, the 25-year-old has made over 180 appearances for Manchester United. Under Jose Mourinho, the 24-cap man is finally looking like a regular at centre-back, and has helped the Red Devils to 13 clean sheets in the Premier League.
Huge blow…..??? He is not good enough to play in United and his compatriot Smalling is neither…. British crap at its best- when these guys need to think then their feets doesn’t work……
so bad , and they would never ever play if they were foreign……
