Manchester United fans were pleased with the debut of Alexis Sanchez against Yeovil Town in the fourth round of the FA Cup. The Red Devils face a tricky beginning to the game, but the Chilean was the source of inspiration in the first period as his through ball for Marcus Rashford, contributing indirectly towards the first goal.
The ex-Gunners forward misplaced a number of key passes during the course of the game, but his mistakes would surely be forgiven after he produced his maiden assist for United in a counter-attack where Ander Herrera slotted in the second goal in a 4-0 win.
Would much rather watch a player like Sánchez who actually attempts the difficult passes rather than someone who shies away from them. Might lose the ball and possession occasionally, but it will eventually come off. Has played well so far.

Everything positive going forward has started with Sanchez. He might've misplaced a couple passes but he's made a impact.

Sanchez showed one thing, the ability and willingness to play the killer ball. Lukaku will easily surpass 30 for the season now with that kind of service. Can’t wait to see him in the PL now. ?

I think Keown is going ott with some of his comments re Sanchez. Said the Chilean was ‘ignoring’ Rashford, when it was Sanchez who looked for Rashford for the goal. Sanchez the best and most creative player in the first 45 mins.

Sanchez was played on the left side of the attack, from where he tried to cut in to find a partnership with the likes of Marcus Rashford and Juan Mata. Despite starting in his preferential spot, the Chilean could be swapped onto the right wing for the midweek Premier League outing versus Tottenham Hotspur as Jose Mourinho would not want to stall the progress of Anthony Martial, who has been United’s main creator since the turn of the year.
Jesse Lingard continued his fine form with another goal to his name, and Juan Mata could be the player sacrificed for Sanchez, though the combination between Chilean with the Spaniard was one of the highlights during Friday’s Cup outing.
