Manchester United free to sign £25million target following manager’s admission

Manchester United have been handed a huge boost in their hopes of acquiring the services of Serge Aurier after PSG manager Unai Emery confirms that the defender wants to leave Paris.

Manchester United are further expected to strengthen their squad in the coming weeks after manager Jose Mourinho made an admission that he is not happy with how the window has gone so far for the Red Devils and that he wants to bring in at least two more players to Old Trafford.

Signing a new full-back seems to be high on the priority list for Mourinho at the moment and recent reports have been gathering steam which has claimed that the Portuguese boss is considering a £25million swoop for PSG bad boy Serge Aurier.

Now in a huge boost to United’s hopes of signing Aurier, PSG boss Unai Emery has gone on to reveal that the Ivory Coast international is looking to leave Paris following the arrival of Dani Alves this summer and now a move to England for the controversial defender looks very likely.

“I’ve spoken with Serge to tell him I wanted him to stay here and continue with us,” Emery told L’Equipe.

“He told me that he wanted to leave and that he wanted to stay in Paris to prepare for going. So, we signed Dani Alves, a very experienced player who has the spirit of a champion.”
