Man United handed boost in hopes of signing 86-goals-in-173-appearances attacker

As reported by the Daily Mail, Atletico Madrid manager Diego Simeone has dropped a huge hint that Antoine Griezmann could be leaving soon.

Manchester United’s admiration for Antoine Griezmann has been well documented for quite a while now and many believe that the Red Devils would have ended up signing the French international over the summer if it were not for Atletico Madrid’s transfer ban.

While United have already signed Romelu Lukaku, it has still been claimed that the Premier League giants are keen on acquiring the services of Griezmann and the Red Devils have seemingly been handed a huge boost in their hopes of doing so.

According to reports from the Daily Mail, Atletico Madrid manager Diego Simeone has dropped a huge hint that Griezmann will be leaving Wanda Metropolitano during the post-match conference following his side’s 0-0 draw against Real Madrid over the weekend.

Griezmann’s relationship with the Atletico fans has been damaged as the striker has managed only 2 goals in 10 appearances so for this season and he was roundly booed by the home supporters after he was brought off in the second half against Real Madrid.

With Diego Costa set to be available for Atletico in January, Griezmann could now well be sold by Atletico and this will serve as very good news for Manchester United.
