The agent of Manchester United target Leander Dendoncker has revealed that the midfielder is eyeing a move away from Anderlecht this summer.
Despite spending well over £150million on transfers so far this summer, Manchester United are not yet done with their business in the window and the likes of Gareth Bale, Ivan Perisic and even Cristiano Ronaldo keep getting linked with the Old Trafford based outfit.
While deals for Bale, Perisic and Ronaldo is looking difficult at the moment, Manchester United do have a more realistic target on their sights as well, with the Red Devils said to be keen on acquiring the services of Anderlecht youngster Leander Dendoncker.
Dendoncker is an extremely talented young midfield player who has impressed since making his debut for Anderlecht back in 2013 and has managed to attract the interest from a host of top clubs across Europe in recent times, with United boss Jose Mourinho said to be a keen admirer of the 22-year-old.
A £25million transfer to United has been mooted for Dendoncker this summer and now United have seemingly been handed a huge boost in their hopes of acquiring the services of the Belgium international.
The defensive midfielder’s agent, Christophe Henrotay, has recently gone on to speak regarding the future of his client and has confirmed that the player will be leaving Anderlecht this summer as he is currently looking for a new challenge – paving the way for United to make their move.
Henrotay was quoted saying by Foot Mercato, “Anderlecht want to keep him, but the kid wants a new challenge. We’ll see if we can find an agreement with the club, but that seems difficult.”
