Manchester United could be handed a huge shock because of this reason

According to reports from the Daily Star, Jose Mourinho is currently frustrated at Manchester United and could well consider quitting.

Jose Mourinho arrived at Manchester United last season and although things have not always been smooth, it has to be said that the Portuguese manager has steadied the ship at Old Trafford following the Louis van Gaal debacle.

Mourinho guided United to the EFL Cup as well as Europa League titles last season and he has assembled a team capable of challenging for the Premier League crown during the current campaign.

While things seem to be going swimmingly for United and Mourinho on the surface, the Daily Star have published a shock report claiming that the 54-year-old is already considering quitting the Red Devils after being left frustrated with club vice-chairman Ed Woodword.

The alleged reasons for Mourinho’s frustrations is due to the fact that the club have not begun talks over a new improved deal as well as because of the United hierarchy’s unwillingness to match money spent by their Champions League rivals.

While Mourinho has not been known to stick around at clubs for a long time, the recent reports can be taken with more than a grain of salt.

Mourinho still has 18 months remaining on his current deal at United, which means that there is plenty of time left for negotiations while claims that the club did not back him in the transfer market is simply ridiculous as the Red Devils were one of the biggest spenders in Europe over the summer.
