Manchester United Handed Injury Concern Regarding Star Player Ahead of Liverpool Clash

Manchester United are reportedly worried about Marcus Rashford picking up an injury and will only start him on the bench during their clash against Liverpool this weekend.

Manchester United prepare to square off against Liverpool at Anfield on Sunday and although the Red Devils head into the clash as favourites due to their fine start to the season, they will have to be wary against their arch rivals.

Therefore, United surely will need their strongest possible lineup on the day to claim a victory over Liverpool at Anfield but as a blow, it looks like the Red Devils will be starting star attacker Marcus Rashford.

Rashford has been in scintillating form for United so far this season and has started ahead of Anthony Martial for majority of the matches.

However, Rashford may be jaded at the moment after playing in both of England’s World Cup qualifiers against Slovenia and Lithuania during the week and in order to avoid risking the 20-year-old picking up an injury, United are said to be looking to rest the youngster against Liverpool – if reports from the Daily Star are to be believed.

Martial looks set to start ahead of Rashford as a result but it is likely that the England international could feature at Anfield in some capacity throughout the course of the game.
