Bad News: Manchester United could be without this star against Manchester City

Romelu Lukaku

According to reports from the Daily Mail, Manchester United could be without star striker Romelu Lukaku for the Manchester derby on December 10th.

Romelu Lukaku put in another ineffectual performance during Manchester United’s 1-0 victory over Brighton & Hove Albion last weekend and to make matters worse, the striker could now be banned for at least the next three matches by the FA.

The Belgian international was spotted kicking out twice on Brighton defender Gaetan Bong just before Ashley Young scored the winner in the 66th minute and the incident was not picked up by the match officials amid the commotion of the goal.

However, Lukaku could now be in hot water as FA have now picked up on the incident and as a result, the striker could be handed a three match ban if he is found guilty of violent conduct.

If indeed punished, Lukaku is set to miss out on United’s midweek encounter against Watford as well as the huge clashes against rivals Arsenal and Manchester City – which will undoubtedly prove to be a huge blow for the Red Devils.
