According to Goal, Manchester United are keen on Dylan Crowe. The highly-rated defender plays for Ipswich Town and has a lot of interest in his signature. The 17-year-old is a right-back who could be a long-term replacement for Antonio Valencia, but United’s new signing Diogo Dalot is likely to be next in line.
Brighton & Hove Albion, RB Leipzig, Benfica and Borussia Monchengladbach are all keen on Crowe, but his short-term future may be at Ipswich. The teenager has recently signed a professional contract and might be focusing on making the transition from youth football to the first-team.
United are overstocked at right-back, with Valencia, Dalot and Matteo Darmian all capable of operating in the role. Crowe would be one for the future and wouldn’t break the bank with a £500k asking price. The 17-year-old, who has made six appearances for the England u17s, has racked up one appearance for Ipswich’s u18s.
Crowe won’t break the bank, but so much interest in his signature could hamper United’s attempts to sign him this summer. If the right-back does leave Ipswich, he may feel his hopes for first-team football would be better away from Old Trafford.
