If reports in the media are anything to go by then Manchester United are looking to sign Colombian international and Atalanta forward Duvan Zapata.

Transfer: Man Utd consider move to sign £100million+ star in January – Report

As far as United’s strike-force is concerned, last season, Lukaku was our top scoring center forward but Solskajer opted to sell him to Inter Milan in the summer transfer window and did not even replace him.

Now, the Belgian international is proving to be a hit in the Serie A, on the other hand, we are dealing with major injury concerns with Martial and Rashford out injured.

In such a scenario, the Old Trafford club must splash the cash to strengthen the strike-force in the winter transfer window and Zapata would be a quality addition.

The £44million-rated (La Gazzetta Dello Sport) goalscorer was in sensational form for Atalanta in the last campaign and helped them earn Champions League qualification. In 32 league starts, he directly contributed in 30 goals (23 goals and 7 assists).

Overall, in all competitions, the South American netted 28 goals and provided 8 assists. In the current campaign, so far, he has already scored 4 goals in as many league starts.

In your opinion, should United splash the cash to lure Zapata in January?

  1. Mandzukic was available a bargain,15million. A proven goal scorer at the highest level with all the experience in the world for the likes of Martial,Rashford and Mason to tap from. No one bothered. I’d rather have a loan move for Zlatan

  2. Ed Woodward should step aside with his OGS and allow man united to move forward.

  3. Yes Zlatan should be coming back. He is the man for United. Good players like Marcus and Martial are there but never think that is enough. You still need to strengthen the squad just in case of injuries etc as a back up choice.
