According to reports from Football Espana, Manchester United manager Jose Mourinho has decided to block Andreas Pereira’s loan move to Valencia.
Andreas Pereira is undoubtedly a very highly rated figure at Manchester United but with the fierce competition for places at the club, the Brazilian is unlikely to be earning regular minutes on the pitch at Old Trafford this summer and as a result, a loan move away had been seen as a possibility.
Pereira enjoyed a very productive spell in La Liga with Granada last season and it was believed that the 21-year-old would be heading back to Spain once again, this time by joining Valencia on a year-long loan deal.
Just when it looked like the transfer would be going through though, claims have been made that United boss Jose Mourinho has personally intervened to block the move for Pereira.
According to Football Espana, Mourinho is of the belief that he will be able to hand Pereira minutes on the pitch at Old Trafford during the current campaign and is allegedly looking to keep hold of the young talent till January at least.
